An exciting opportunity has arisen to join for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our excellent, patient-focused Acute Medicine team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
In pursuance of WUTH's commitment to acute medicine we are looking to appoint highly motivated colleagues to work within and further develop the Acute Unit into one of the most advanced in the UK.
There is a well-established ANP programme in our organisation, and the successful applicant will work with our talented multidisciplinary team that includes an excellent consultant team, which will provide support and development advice.
The unit is well supported by colleagues in the medical subspecialties, diagnostics, critical care and surgical divisions.
The Acute Medicine team's ANP's provide a vital service, including doing practical procedures within our service and we look forward to employing a well motivated, caring and dynamic individual.
Main duties of the job
Successful candidates will work alongside the ward based medical doctors, undertaken duties appropriate to their level of experience and competence, with the ultimate aim of creating highly skilled autonomous ANPs to promote high quality care, experience, outcomes and safe and effective discharge. Candidates will be given protected time to fulfill the educational aspects of the role.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a fast paced Acute Trust and want new challenges and to become part of an exciting and innovative multidisciplinary workforce.
