EAS specialise in procurement, design, management and execution of all works associated with High and Low voltage underground electricity networks on behalf of major framework contractors and Distribution Network Operators (DNO's).

We have over 40 years combined experience specific to our services offered such as HV/LV cable jointing and terminating, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, 24 hours emergency call out, project management and more. Overall purpose of the role



As

Surveyor

, you will be responsible for conducting internal and/or external surveys to support various departments within EAS. Your role is critical in assessing the condition, location, and compliance of assets prior to the planning and execution of works. By providing accurate, detailed, and timely asset information, you will help ensure that projects are carried out safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.

This will be achieved by: -

Conduct site visits to gather accurate data on assets, including their condition, accessibility, and compliance with regulations.

Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and the Design Manager to understand survey requirements and deliver timely information.

Identify and report any risks, defects, or discrepancies found during inspections

Ensure all work is carried out in line with EAS policies, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities



The

Surveyor

will be expected to perform any of the following tasks:

Conducting surveys for De Looping and Cut Out Projects

Ability to identify if customer's LV service cable is looped to neighbours

Arranging/advising customer of appointments

Working closely with Managers, Designers and Administrators

Provide guidance to customers on site

Risk Identification

Data collecting and reporting

Letter dropping customers or neighbours who aren't present

Correctly use CAT (Cable Avoidance Tool) and Genny (Signal Generator)

Experience and job knowledge:



Essential



Previous experience within the industry

Familiarity with health and safety legislation and risk assessment processes relevant to site inspections

Desirable



Experience working with survey tools in the past (CAT and measuring wheel)
