Please note this is a fixed-term position initially for 6 months.







Key Accountabilities:



Escalate instances of scope change, queries or challenges where mitigation is needed by others. Ensure concise communications with team members, support functions and customers through regular contact, both written and verbal. Report unsafe practices and instances of quality/service failure. Ensure strict compliance with company policies and procedures to ensure a consistent approach to work delivery. Actively contribute to Quality, Safety and Environmental initiatives in order to support a proactive Health and Safety culture. Evaluate, recommend and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Provide support for other technicians & departments when necessary. Maximise Quality; Investigate all instances of quality/service failure. Maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times and complete corrective actions within agreed timescales. Maintain, service and calibrate monitoring equipment. Minimise costs; Select products and services by value not convenience. Minimise overtime hours and agency use. Maximise communication; Communicate clearly and concisely at all times. Support organisational change; Provide flexibility where structural constraints restrict progress. When working as a 'person in charge', be accountable for their safety and the safety of all persons in their work group. This includes risks of being struck by trains and from the risks associated with the task and location. Complete mandatory vehicle checks to ensure safety and road worthiness. Complete all training requirements to maintain compliance with FORS standard.

Operational Staff



Should an employee consider their safety to be compromised they may invoke the Worksafe procedure and refuse to work which must be reported to the Person in Charge where an acceptable level of safety needs to be discussed. When working under Agency protection staff, an Agency COSS Checksheet form must be completed to verify the correct process has been followed.
All site documentation must be completed and returned within 2 working days of the shift, (Even when working under Agency Protection staff).





Essential Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications



Ability to exercise judgement to solve operational problems where the answer is not always apparent. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with direct reports, colleagues and customers. Hold a range of industry specific competencies. Full driving license. Knowledge of surveying techniques and instrumentation. Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of the tasks at hand. Ability to work flexible working hours, including nights & weekends, at various locations throughout the UK. Good knowledge of Office applications, Email and other common packages. CSCS card
