Job Overview

In this position, you'll work closely with our Group Construction Director, helping shape accurate and competitive commercial proposals for exciting refurbishment and fit out projects across sectors like Care, Education, Leisure, Restaurants and more.From site surveys and cost planning to supporting tender submissions and value engineering - this role offers variety, challenge and real scope for development

Responsibilities

Survey sites and scope out requirements for M&E and fabric works. Produce cost estimates and tender packages across a wide project range. Liaise with design, ops, and commercial teams. Drive value, innovation, and client satisfaction. Travel nationally to support projects (travel allowance provided). Review specifications, drawings and client documentation to inform pricing and scope. Attend pre-start meetings and support project handover to site delivery teams.

Skills

Experience in estimating/surveying within construction or building services Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills Confident communicator and team player Flexible with national travel - full UK driving licence required

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

We welcome a range of qualifications and career backgrounds, including:

BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment NVQ Level 3 in Construction Contracting Operations or Quantity Surveying HNC/HND in: Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (for M&E focused roles) Foundation Degree or Associate Degree in a construction related subject Apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying, Estimating or Building Services Bachelor's Degree (BSc/BEng) in: Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Services Engineering or Commercial Management
