We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. Duties

Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes according to company recipes and restaurant standards Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used in accordance with food safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sushi station, including sanitising tools and work surfaces regularly Monitor inventory levels and communicate with suppliers for ingredient replenishment Assist in the development of new sushi recipes and presentation styles to enhance menu offerings Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods Adhere strictly to health and safety standards, including food safety protocols and hygiene practices Serve dishes to customers with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring customer satisfaction

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, particularly in sushi making or Japanese cuisine Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredient handling, and food safety standards Previous kitchen experience within a restaurant environment is highly desirable Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently Good communication skills to work effectively within a team and interact with customers when necessary Ability to maintain composure under pressure during peak service hours A passion for culinary arts and continuous learning of new techniques and trends in sushi preparation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
