We are seeking a talented and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and present sushi dishes in accordance with restaurant recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner, adhering to food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients. Assist in the development of new sushi recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff, helping them develop their culinary skills.

Skills

Proven experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient in meal preparation techniques, particularly in sushi making and presentation. Excellent culinary skills with an emphasis on attention to detail and creativity. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively. A willingness to help others and contribute positively to the kitchen team dynamic.
