We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Maker to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sushi station, adhering to food safety regulations Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated regularly Assist in the creation of new sushi recipes and menu items in collaboration with the culinary team Monitor portion sizes and presentation to ensure consistency across all dishes Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during food preparation and handling Support other kitchen staff as needed during busy service periods

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, particularly with sushi or Japanese cuisine Strong cooking skills with knowledge of culinary techniques relevant to sushi making Previous kitchen experience within a restaurant setting is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene and sanitation Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
