About the role



The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Analyst to work on the


Sizewell C (SZC) Project to provide a co-ordination role for the data management aspects of environmental


management and sustainability relating to site operations. This role will include providing support on co-

ordinating data input relating to environmental metrics and supporting data to help meet legal, client


requirements and company standards which will help establish a culture of delivering sustainable outcomes


and continual improvement.


The role will require a capability for handling complex data inputs, an understanding of working in complex


infrastructure programmes and working with Sub-contractors to ensure their environmental requirements are


complied with, offering support to site teams on site performance, mitigation measures, overseeing the


sustainability of works on site and engaging with key supply chain partners.


This role is a site based role which will need to work closely in tandem with the central ESG team on


providing data for Environmental and Sustainability compliance and assurance purposes

What you'll be doing




Provide advice and support to operational teams on environmental and sustainability data
requirements to co-ordinate data collection for compliance delivery

Develop and maintain relationships with key delivery supply chain partners on environmental
management and sustainability requirements

Act as key central point for data input from site stakeholders to the Sizewell Sustainability Tool (SST) Develop and maintain relationships with key site delivery stakeholders Provide training and awareness to the site environment team, supervisors and project managers on carbon and sustainable procurement matters.

Attend project meetings with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders Ensure on site compliance with environmental data requirements Work with supply chain to develop innovations with sustainable outcomes at site level for value
adding environment projects and supporting ecological enhancements

Work with the central ESG team to ensure implementation of the project Environmental Management
System on the project at a site level

Support a culture of continual improvement across Environmental and Sustainability metrics and
KPIs

Be aware of any changes to standards and legislation and where applicable recommend changes to
systems and processes

Support the delivery of environmental and sustainability training, toolbox talks and communications
campaigns including undertake onsite coaching of site staff

Produce internal and external environmental and sustainability reports as required Support and conduct environmental and sustainability audit and assurance activities including
facilitating external audits by clients and certification bodies


Who we're looking for



Essential

Knowledge of environment management and sustainable development Educated to degree level in Environmental Science or Environmental Management or other applicable
disciplines.


Pro-active approach to stakeholder engagement Practical experience and knowledge of data management and strong level of data literacy Good appreciation of environmental and sustainability standards e.g. (SBTI) (GHG Protocol) (ISO
14001) (PAS 2080) (ISO 14067) (ISO 20400)


Understanding of carbon management and sustainable procurement and environmental legislation ISEP Membership at Practitioner level Full UK driver's licence and flexibility to travel Understanding of the utilities/construction/engineering operating environment Literate in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook Good interpersonal skills Attention detail and good problem solver

Desirable

Direct experience of energy auditing and carbon management in a variety of industries Internal ISEP Environmental Auditor qualification Knowledge or experience of DCO and NSIPs NEBOSH H&S Diploma or equivalent Knowledge of the Construction Industry
