We are looking for an assistant to join our busy Buying Room team who is a highly motivated individual, willing to study to attain formal qualifications in Sustainability.
With a specific focus on the wool fibre and wool industry, the course will explore key issues and questions relating to sustainable development, legislation, collaborative global goals, and ways to measure and manage the textile industry's impact on people, planet and prosperity.
You will also provide and maintain support with the day to day running of our busy Buying Room team. Over time this role will transition to a full-time standalone Sustainability position.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role or is a school leaver looking to develop a career in textiles, and must be able to demonstrate the following:

Motivated and comfortable working in a demanding role
Ability to multitask and prioritise work
Knowledge of Microsoft office including word, outlook and Excel

The Role
Servicing both the Apparel and Interior Design markets, the successful candidate will:
Place purchase orders
Liaise with suppliers to prioritise and expedite delivery of goods ordered
Proof reading and verification of dates, data and other reference information
Respond to queries from sales and customer service teams
Check invoices received and report any differences
Daily and monthly end stock analysis reporting
System administration for the team
Controlling supply of accessories items
Product set up and maintenance of new ranges
Update iInternal documentation requirements for new ranges and special promotions
Be responsible for CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
Manage our RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certification
Manage the Sustainability master document - Updating seasonal ranges and yearly audit of supplier certifications
Managing customer declaration requests, either self-assessment or required declarations
Maintain fibre certifications on iShowroom with any relevant reference numbers.
Manage Mill specification reports
Full training will be provided both accredited and on the job.
