This is an Energy-as-a-Service business in the UK, managing the energy requirements for over 450 large organizations. At the Company\xe2\x80\x99s core is a powerful, innovative tech platform that engages our customers by providing valuable insights into energy usage, procurement management, and cost reduction strategies. Following the launch of its pioneering sustainability and procurement platform TRUE, Net Zero is at the forefront of their growth.
They launched in 2013 and now have over 80 staff across offices in the UK, Bromsgrove, South Africa, and remote working. They have created a fantastic culture through a diverse and highly skilled team.

This sustainability partner channel which has become central to their strategy of offering a broader scope of services to their customers and prospects. The channel focuses entirely on reducing an energy user\xe2\x80\x99s cost and carbon footprint through technology, strategy, energy efficiency measures, and onsite renewables, as well as supporting energy-related compliance and maximizing legislation opportunities. Products and services through this channel are typically delivered by third-party partner companies, each expert in varying energy sector specialisms allowing them to maintain a broad and all-encompassing offering to customers and prospects whilst also being agnostic and so offering a truly consultative approach.

The Role

  • You will be working with both a diverse customer base and network of partners focused on implementing Net Zero strategies.
  • You will learn to play an active role in the identification, negotiation, acquisition and development of sustainability projects that will maximise economic and environmental value to customers.
  • You will work towards taking projects from initial conception and then working with partners through to delivery.
  • You will do this by initially supporting the current team of Sustainability Consultants in their quest to identify new business opportunities and expand their partnership network, with a view to be running your own campaigns and projects once capable.
  • Such projects might include Solar PV, Wind, Battery Storage, Combined Heat and Power, Power Purchase Agreements, Carbon Consultancy and roadmapping, UK/EU Government Energy Compliance and Legislation Schemes, Efficient Lighting, Biomass, Smart Buildings, and more.
  • This support role is designed to equip you with all the industry knowledge, partner relationships and customer-facing experience to eventually take on the role of a Sustainability Consultant.
Responsibilities
  • Work with the Open Connect team to develop the channel and implement detailed marketing and partner development plans that will deliver revenue-generating opportunities across the full energy spectrum.
  • Own day-to-day relationships with Open Connect partners.
  • Participate in meetings with customers to understand their business objectives to inform the creation of a Sustainability strategy, then work with customers and partners to execute and deliver said strategy.
  • Researching the market and analyzing opportunities for new prospective partnerships and green technologies.
  • Assisting with managing diaries, producing proposals, quotes, and partner agreements.
  • Support partners through the provision of customer data to facilitate project viability assessments.
  • Internal reporting on a weekly and monthly basis on performance against the channel
KPIs.
  • Take administrative ownership of the channel\xe2\x80\x99s CRM, where all the opportunities are logged. Ensuring the pipeline is accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Work with the internal marketing team to develop compelling, supporting literature and sales collateral, including case studies, proposal documentation, webinar material, and internal communications for the sales team.
  • Attending industry shows and events to promote and develop business.
  • Keep up-to-date on business and industry trends and competitor activity, and communicate key insights regularly within the team.

  • Excellent time management, and task prioritization.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • An interest in the energy industry and in particular technology and assisting corporates to be greener, cleaner, and more efficient.
  • A self-starter, with a can-do attitude, flexible, adaptable, and confident
  • Professional, consultative, and collaborative approach at all times.
Qualifications
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent standard is preferred although not essential.
  • Sound Maths and English skills are essential.
