About the role
TP Bennett is expanding their focus on company-wide ESG performance and seeking a proactive, strategic Sustainability Team member to help embed and improve sustainability processes across UK and global operations. This outcome-driven role blends hands-on ESG delivery with strategic thinking, making it ideal for a rising professional passionate about climate action, pollution prevention, and financial resilience. Responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement of TP Bennett's environmental performance and ESG strategy
Work with internal teams to define and deliver key sustainability objectives and targets
Optimise the company's environmental footprint, with a focus on Scope 3 emissions and pollution reduction
Calculate and report on the company's carbon footprint; support SBTi-aligned reduction plans
Develop sustainable procurement and travel policies; manage carbon offsetting schemes
Support GHG assessments for architecture/interior design project materials
Maintain and improve the ISO14001:2014 Environmental Management System through audits and updates
Support and expand social value reporting; contribute to wider ESG strategy development
Ensure compliance with relevant ESG legislation (e.g. SECR, ESOS, UK Taxonomy)
Prepare ESG reports and data for internal and external stakeholders
Respond to client ESG RFI/RFP requests quickly and accurately
Create and deliver ESG communications (newsletters, blogs, social media) and staff training
Manage sustainability team budgets and external consultants
Coordinate workshops and support day-to-day sustainability team operations
Skills

Knowledge of current and emerging ESG Trends
Some general understanding of manufacturing, suppliers and supply chains
Some understanding/ experience of UK environmental and social law
Some knowledge of ESG/ sustainability in relation to the built environment sector
Some knowledge of Social Value processes.
Some administrative skills, including the ability to coordinate meetings, produce reports, meeting notes, internal and external communications materials, etc.
