Role Summary

Supporting the growth of our Environmental business by developing and implementing a strategic marketing and communications programme of activities, collateral and content. Also contributing towards the Group\'s Sustainability strategy and framework, supporting Group communications and reporting activities around Sustainability. Evaluation of activities and uses insights through measurement to enhance performance. Collaboration throughout the company to complete various projects associated with the role.

Overview of Marex / Department description

Marex has unique access across markets with significant share globally both on and off exchange. The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights and analytics.

The Corporate Affairs team protects and promotes Marex\'s reputation externally and internally by engaging with potential and existing employees, clients, and investors, as well as other stakeholders and the broader community.

Overall Responsibilities

Environment Business

  • Design and deliver an integrated multi-channel programme to promote the Group\'s environment business, supporting commercial goals
  • Working with the broader Corporate Affairs team and external agencies to develop proactive media programme to support the Environmental business
  • Writing and producing multimedia content to support the Environmental business
  • Develop and deliver initiatives to ensure that the Environmental business is understood internally to ensure cross sell opportunities are maximised.
  • Support the broader business, working across the various markets, to promote Marex\'s environmental capacities to existing customers and support our traditional customers as they transition to a low carbon economy.
  • Support tender responses and requests for ESG and sustainability credentials
Group sustainability strategy and framework
  • Supporting activity aligned with the Group\'s sustainability strategy and goals
  • Attends and actively contributes to the Sustainability Committee, ensuring actions are followed through
  • Works with Finance, Risk and Procurement as well as the Head of Corporate Affairs to support ESG reporting and disclosures are aligned with regulatory requirements
  • Develops the business\'s sustainability messages and content for investors, clients and media
  • Owns the content for the sustainability section of the website
  • Drafts the content for the sustainability report and the sustainability section of the Annual Report
Editorial Board
  • Actively contributes to the Editorial Board, generating ideas, sourcing and sharing stories
Measurement
  • Evaluates activities and ensures insights are used to enhance performance
Collaboration
  • Works with the business, the other Corporate Affairs Business Partners and Content & Channels to ensure activities work seamlessly together to deliver objectives

Experience
  • Experience working in financial services and / or working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
  • At least 5 years\' experience.
  • Experience in a similar role in a fast-paced FS business or agency desirable.
  • Outstanding copywriting and editing skills
  • A digitally literate person who keeps on top of key trends and innovations
  • Able to think creatively and develop innovative content that speaks to, and gains traction with, target audiences
  • A strong storyteller who is able to develop content for a variety of channels
  • Multi-media expertise and editing skills
