you will be teaching small group classes of 6 per class, with a swim assistant in the pool with you.
weekday evening hours are 3.45pm - 6.15pm Tuesday-Friday and Sunday morning 10-1pm (term time only)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for swimming and a strong desire to educate individuals of all ages in water safety and swimming techniques. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
Duties
Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, tailoring instruction to meet the varying skill levels of participants.
Educate swimmers on water safety, proper techniques, and the importance of fitness through swimming.
Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate fun activities while promoting skill development.
Monitor the progress of each swimmer and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
Maintain a safe and clean pool environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance instructional skills.
Experience
Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching swimming is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both children and adults.
A background in education or child development would be advantageous.
Certification in lifeguarding or first aid is desirable but can be obtained upon hiring.
