We are seeking a passionate and experienced Swimming Teacher to join our team at our School holiday camps. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching swimming to children of various ages and skill levels. As a Swimming Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and conducting swimming lessons, ensuring the safety of all participants, and creating a fun and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
To deliver swimming lessons tailored to the age and skill level of participants.
To instruct and demonstrate swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety skills.
To provide individualised attention and feedback to each participant to support their learning and development.
To ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and maintaining constant supervision.
To assess the swimming abilities of participants and track their progress over the course of the programme.
To collaborate with other staff members to coordinate activities and ensure a smooth operation of the holiday camp.
To maintain a clean and organised swimming area, including pool equipment.
To uphold Activ Camps' Safeguarding and Health & Safety Policies at all times, ensuring that the children's and staff's safety and wellbeing is always our first priority.
Essential Attributes
18+ years old and must have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment.
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Swim Teaching or equivalent qualifications.
Ability to work responsibly, prioritising the welfare and safety of the children at all times.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently lead activities for groups of children.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism at all times.
Reliable and trustworthy, with excellent time management.
Desirable Attributes
Experience leading swim sessions with children and/or young people.
Holds an Enhanced DBS Check issued within 3 months, or on the DBS Update Service.
Coaching and/or activity and sports specific qualifications.
Ofsted approved, 12-hour paediatric first aid training qualification.
