LiveWire delivers Aquatic Programmes across five pools in Warrington, including swimming lessons to children and adults from pre-school to lessons for children 4 years and above, through to teaching adults to learn to swim, following the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework. This role will report to the Aquatics Manager and will work with a team of qualified swim teachers to support the delivery of our successful Learn to Swim Programme.

The role
LiveWire are looking for enthusiastic, motivational and supportive qualified Level 1 Swim Teachers to assist Level 2 qualified swimming teachers in the delivery of our Learn to Swim programme across our five pools. This will include supporting children of all ages but especially beginners in the water during their swimming lessons. It may require supporting children with additional needs in lessons to enable their progress through the stages.
There are various hours available across our sites with lessons running from Monday to Thursday from approximately 4-7pm and Saturday and Sunday mornings.

What's needed?
Experience, whether voluntary or employed is invaluable for this role, although we do understand as it is the first step towards swim teaching, experience may be limited due to being newly qualified. Key skills for this role include:
A good knowledge of the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework
The ability to give clear instructions to children and follow clear instructions from the lead swimming teacher
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the willingness to be team player
- Holding a valid pool safety qualification - either a RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers or Coaches (NRASTC) and attend regular training to keep it up to date
- Being flexible - there may be times when working across different Livewire sites is required
