Job Description

As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques and promoting water safety to individuals of all ages. Reporting to the Swim Manager, your core skills in sports coaching and teaching will be essential in developing tailored lesson plans that cater to various skill levels. You will foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to build confidence in the water. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with students will be vital in ensuring a successful and enjoyable experience for all participants. Join our team and make a significant impact on the community's water safety and fitness. This Role will also require teaching of our Parent and Toddler Swimming lessons.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sports coaching and teaching, particularly in swimming techniques. Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate students of all ages. Ability to assess individual skill levels and tailor lessons accordingly. Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred. Knowledge of water safety practices and emergency response protocols.
Ensure a professional service is maintained at all times in compliance with the Catterick Leisure Centre's Procedures.

Be approachable, positive role model for the swim school.

Promote lessons and give advice to members. Creating positive and engaging rapport with swimmers/parents of young swimmers.

Use effective swimming techniques to ensure swimmers achieve sustainable improvements.

Ability to deliver all of the swim Service lines including School Swimming, Group lessons for all ages. Including Parent and Child.

Other tasks if needed - tidying equipment away after sessions. Complete any paperwork/admin as requested.

Be a role model with the knowledge and excellence to promote the full swim product portfolio.

Ensure all Health and Safety policies are adhered to and you are providing a safe environment for you, your colleagues and all swimmers.

Accident reporting and Safeguarding procedure and all other H&S procedures are understood and followed

Attend regular CPDs either inhouse or online

Pay: From 3,990.00 per year
