Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our aquatic programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging swimming lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those with a background in sports coaching and teaching to inspire confidence and promote water safety among participants.

Duties

Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to the needs of learners, from beginners to advanced swimmers Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety skills effectively Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations Maintain a clean and organised pool area before and after lessons Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere that motivates learners of all ages Assist with organising aquatic events or competitions when required Uphold water safety protocols at all times, including supervising participants during lessons and open swim sessions

Requirements

Proven experience in teaching, preferably within an aquatic environment Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners of diverse backgrounds Lifeguard certification, RLSS NRASTC or willingness to obtain prior to commencing employment (if applicable) Knowledge of water safety standards and emergency procedures Enthusiastic, patient, and professional demeanour with a genuine passion for teaching swimming Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 13.09-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.5 per week
