We are seeking a passionate and dedicated level 1 and 2 Swim Instructors to join our aquatic programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming skills to individuals of all ages and abilities, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those with a background in sports coaching and teaching to develop their skills within a supportive community setting.
Employees are all Self Employed.
Available hours; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4-7pm
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective swimming lessons tailored to the needs of diverse learners
Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and supervising activities at all times
Assess individual skill levels and progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
Prepare lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups and abilities
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pool area before and after lessons
Promote water safety awareness among participants and their guardians
Support the organisation of aquatic events or programmes as required
Requirements
Proven experience in swimming teaching.
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate learners of all ages
Lifeguard certification (or willingness to obtain) is desirable but not essential; training can be provided
Enhanced DBS
Ability to work flexibly, including cover lessons
A genuine passion for teaching and fostering confidence in water-based activities
Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and organisation
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 16.00-18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 3 per week
