Overview

We are a swim school catering to clients with their own private pools or access to pools in their residential building. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our aquatic programme. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching swimming and sports coaching, with a commitment to ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment for all participants. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in instructing and coaching within a supportive team setting.

Duties

Deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to strict safety protocols and supervising activities at all times Plan and organise lesson plans that promote skill development, confidence, and enjoyment in the water Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help learners improve their techniques Maintain clean and organised poolside areas, ensuring all equipment is safe and ready for use Foster a positive environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement

Qualifications

Level 2 swim teaching certs. Level 2 baby & toddlers certs. Level 2 Safety Award DBS check UK Passport or Right to Work Visa UK Swim Insurance Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to instruct individuals or groups in swimming or related activities Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse needs Passionate about promoting water safety and encouraging participation in aquatic activities Certification in lifesaving or first aid is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
