Mer-Fin Swim Ltd is a private swim school based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

We provide low ratio swimming lessons, following the Swim England learn to swim pathway for children aged 2years +

Mer-Fin Swim Ltd pride ourselves on the quality of swimming lessons provided and a high level of customer service to parents/carers.

We are looking for a poolside swimming coordinator to join our team to ensure the smooth running of lessons on a Sunday 9:45am- 1:15pm, 1pm- 4pm, Monday to Friday 4:15-7:30/8pm. Ideally these hours will be split between 2 candidates.

Term-time only

A self-employed basis.

Starting in September 2025

Poolside Swimming Coordinator Role;

Duties:

- Open up the facility and set the pool up ready for lessons and according to the pool plan/tidy equipment away and securely lock up the premises where required
- Oversee the daily operations of the pool facility
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for everyone
- Supervise lifeguards and other pool staff
- Schedule and coordinate pool activities and events
- Provide excellent customer service, address any concerns or issues and report to management
- Maintain pool equipment and perform regular maintenance tasks
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety of everyone
- Meet and greet the children for their lessons - directing swimmers to their lesson in accordance with the pool plan

Desirable experience, however not mandatory:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Lifeguard/Swim teaching certification is a plus

You will be immaculately presented in a uniform that is provided, naturally warm and have a welcoming disposition with excellent attention to detail, fluent in written and spoken English.

You will have great interpersonal skills, hands on approach with a can-do attitude. If you have previous experience in a similar role, strong leadership skills, and a passion for guest services, we would love to hear from you.
