The Role
This is a hands-on, varied engineering role combining installation, maintenance, and design support in both new builds and refurbishments. You will be servicing and maintaining pools and hot tubs primarily, you will also be fault-finding and repairing existing pool systems. However, the role will be quite diverse and you will also be required to carry out some building works where needed.
Key Responsibilities
Install pool pipework systems in new builds and refurbishment projects and full plant room installations
Servicing filtration, filter media, circulation, and heating systems, air handling units and other plant room equipment.
Install automatic dosing and water treatment systems, including UV systems
Set out and install first fix pool fittings during construction
Prepare and install pool liners
Hot tub diagnostics, testing and identifying issues.
Regular maintenance of existing pools and hot tubs
Attend design meetings and site surveys
Size and specify pipework, ductwork, and plant equipment
Create a comprehensive parts list required for projects
Provide technical support and compile operation and maintenance manuals
Ideal Candidate
You're a proactive and experienced engineer who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team. You enjoy problem-solving and take pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Skills & Qualifications
Qualified to ISPE Technician (or equivalent industry experience/ qualifications) (essential)
Basic electrical or construction qualification (preferred)
Logical, detail-oriented, and well-organised
Good IT skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and presentable
Experience
Minimum 2 years of engineering in a relatable industry (pool industry experience preferred)
Knowledge and experience of construction systems and familiarity with site work
Requirements
UK manual driving license with no more than 6 points.
