Leisure Assistant - Bury St Edmunds- Hourly rate between 10.00-12.21

As a Leisure Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our members and customers. From lifeguarding our pools to maintaining cleanliness standards and assisting with equipment setup, you'll deliver exceptional customer service every day!

ROLE 1: average 26.12 hours per week

WK1 Wednesday 5.30-14.30, Thursday 5.30-14.00, Friday 5.30-14.00 Sunday 7.45-13.00

WK 2 Wednesday 5.30-13.30, Thursday 5.30-14.00, Sunday 10.00-13.00

WK 3 Wednesday 5.30-13.30, Thursday 5.30-14.00, Friday 5.30-14.00 Sunday 7.45-13.00

WK 4 Wednesday 5.30-13.30, Thursday 5.30-14.00, Friday 5.30-14.00 Sunday 10.00-13.00

Key Responsibilities:

Lifeguarding duties, including monitoring pool safety and responding to emergencies.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

Assisting with equipment setup and breakdown for various activities.

Providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall experience for our guests.

Requirements:

Responsible individual with a passion for working in leisure, health, and well-being.

Prior experience is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.

Strong commitment to safety and the well-being of others.

Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is required.

Candidates without an NPLQ will have the opportunity to undergo full training after a successful swim test and interview.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Suffolk, IP33 3TT: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Are you able to commit to working the scheduled rota pattern on a year round basis? Do you hold a valid NPLQ? If you do not hold an NPLQ please confirm:
1) Can you jump or dive into deep water?
2) Can you swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds?
3) Can you tread water for at least 30 seconds?
4) from the surface of the pool can you dive to the bottom of the pool?
5) Can you swim 100metres continuously on your front and on your back?
6) Can you climb out of the water on your own
