Job Description

We are seeking an experienced swimming pool maintenance person to join our successful business based in East Devon. Exeter Pools is a family-run company with an excellent reputation for building and maintaining swimming pools across Devon, Somerset and West Dorset. We have been operating for over 10 years and work with the private and commercial sectors and have a continually growing customer base.

Key Requirements and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in swimming pool maintenance and be confident in working with pool plant equipment, testing water and administering chemicals correctly. They should possess the following skills and experience:

Pool Cleaning. Pool Water Testing. Chemical handling and manual dosing. Knowledge of operation and maintenance of dosing units, UV units and filtration pumps. Be punctual, hardworking and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Have good communication skills in order to liaise with customers and suppliers. Use your own initiative to diagnose and solve problems. Possess good attention to detail and be able to carry out accurate record keeping. Hold a full clean driving licence.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

:

Carry-out regular pool maintenance including cleaning pools, testing water, adding chemicals as required and backwashing sand filters. Service and maintain pool plant equipment, including pumps, filters and heat pumps, pool covers, dosing systems and diagnose faults for warranty claims and repair. Maintenance of heating systems. Plant room installations Water testing and chemical administration. Filter media changes. Liaise with the company director, colleagues, office manager and clients to ensure smooth operations. Communicate with new and existing clients ensuring the highest level of customer service at all times. Working alone for the majority of the time but also as part of a team. Using own initiative to manage an existing client base focusing on swimming pool maintenance. Care and maintenance of company vehicle and tools provided for company use.
