Job Description

We are looking for an engaging swimming teacher able to adapt to their environment and individual needs, teaching beginner/intermediate swimmers to a level where they are safe, confident and competent in deep water.

F4YP is a charity aiming to reach vulnerable young people in Bedfordshire, increasing confidence, improving mental health and well being, reducing isolation and giving young people access to new opportunities.

Job Details: Thursdays, 4:15-7:15 @ Polam Swim School, Lansdowne Road, Bedford

Responsibilities:

Teach swimming lessons to groups of young people aged 5-16 (lessons split by age and ability Create and implement lesson plans that are engaging and progression - Provide a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and practice swimming skills - Adapt to individual needs including SEND and pastoral needs. Evaluate students' progress and provide feedback for improvement Ensure the pool area is clean, organized, and safe for all participants Communicate with F4YP team and when necessary parents/carers regarding student progress and any concerns
Experience:

Swimming teacher Level 2 qualification required NRASATC or similar qualification desired Previous experience as a swim instructor or in a similar coaching role is preferred Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and safety procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well with individuals of all ages and skill levels
