We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our aquatic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming skills to individuals of all ages and abilities in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. Responsibilities
Deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels
Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to water safety protocols and supervising activities at all times
Assess individual progress and provide constructive feedback to help swimmers improve their technique
Prepare lesson plans that align with recognised swimming standards and programmes
Maintain a clean and organised pool area, including equipment management
Foster a welcoming environment that promotes confidence, enjoyment, and safety in the water
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Stay updated with current teaching methods and water safety regulations through ongoing professional development
Qualifications
Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably within aquatic environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and encourage learners of all ages
Relevant swimming qualifications recognised by local governing bodies (e.g., ASA or STA certifications)
First aid and water safety certifications are desirable but can be provided if necessary
Passion for teaching and promoting water safety awareness
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends if required
