Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Teachers qualified to Swim England/ASA Level 1 & 2 Aquatics of STA/SEQ Level 1 and/or Level 2 to join our team at our amazing community run open air lido. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming techniques. As a Swim Teacher Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching children aged 4 and upwards, helping them to develop their swimming abilities in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct swimming lessons for small groups (6 max) with a teaching assistant, Follow the prescribed teaching level requirements. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills. . Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress, concerns, or any necessary adjustments to lesson plans. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of swimming practices. There are a variety of hours available during the summer months and candidates can be either self-employed or employed. DBS check is required for these positions.

Skills

Strong ability to educate individuals of varying ages and skill levels in swimming techniques. Experience in sports coaching or a related field is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students and parents. Strong organisational skills to manage lesson plans and track student progress efficiently. A patient and encouraging attitude towards teaching, fostering a positive learning environment for all participants.
