Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated weekend Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages. Our Swimmers are aged between 3 and 7 years old therefore experience with younger children a must.

Baby Preschool qualification would be an excellent advantage but not mandatory at this stage

As a Swim Instructor, you will play a crucial role in developing swimming skills, promoting water safety, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Duties

Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, tailoring instruction to meet the needs of each student. Develop lesson plans that incorporate various swimming techniques and safety practices. Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills. Create a fun and engaging atmosphere that encourages participation and enjoyment in swimming. Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the swimming area before, during, and after lessons. Communicate effectively with students and their parents regarding progress, concerns, or achievements. Cover for other teachers where applicable

Experience

Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching is a must Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages. A friendly and approachable demeanour that fosters trust and rapport with learners. Relevant certifications in swim instruction -ie STA award in teaching and /or STA certificate in teaching or equivalent Baby Preschool qualification would be a bonus however Level 1 or 2 stage teaching qualification minimum required

Pay: 20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 6 per week
