Work base: Llandudno Swim Centre



A part time position has arisen for any enthusiastic level 2 swimming teacher with a passion for teaching, especially through Swim Wales' learn to swim programme, primary school swimming lessons and nervous adults.


The successful applicant will form part of a thriving swimming teaching team helping swimmers to learn through their development and progression.


Your main role will be to teach after school and Saturday morning swimming lessons - inspiring children to swim through fun and innovative lessons whilst delivering excellent standards of customer care.


Afterschool swimming lessons and educational swimming lessons follow Swim Wales' Learn-to-Swim programme. Swimming teachers will also contribute towards and actively promote, local swimming clubs and Swim Conwy's performance pathway.


The successful applicant will enhance their skills and attributes by:


Attending continuing professional development training Study additional swimming courses such as parent & baby and water polo. Attend monthly swimming teacher meetings Safeguarding courses
Having the ability to show experience in working within a team environment and also being able to demonstrate the capability of working on your own initiative will be advantages.


Good communication skills in English are essential and Welsh desirable, along with a friendly positive attitude.


Applicants will be required to attend a formal interview and may be required to attend a practical assessment.


Due to the nature of the work, the post is subject to a satisfactory disclosure check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
