Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team and deliver our Swim:Ed programme in our partner schools during the school day. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming and teaching, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for young swimmers.

:

Overseeing and ensuring children's safety during swimming lessons. Setting up and taking down the temporary swimming pool and related equipment as needed. Teaching swimming lessons and water safety to primary school children, aligned with the National Curriculum. Upholding pool rules and regulations while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanour. Handling emergency situations, providing first aid and continued professional development when necessary. Working with school staff and families to foster a positive swimming experience for all children. Conducting relevant risk assessments and maintaining logs to ensure participant safety. Participating in professional development as required for the role. Serving as a positive role model, fostering a positive and engaging environment that encourages participation in sports and physical activity.

Experience:

Knowledge of the National Curriculum for primary school Swimming. Minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified lifeguard. Experience of using IT platforms.

SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming/STA Level 2 Certificate in Swimming Teaching National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) x1 First Aid Certificate Safeguarding Qualification Current Enhanced DBS Check
