Swimming Teacher

Part-time | Ormskirk, Southport, St Helens | 15-20 per hour (dependent on experience)

About Us

At Daddy Shark Swim School, we specialise in Swim England lessons for children aged 3 months to 11 years and adults. Based in Ormskirk, Southport and St Helens, we pride ourselves on providing small group and 1:1 lessons in a friendly, family-centred environment.

We have been awarded Swim England's Silver Swim School and Swim Teacher.

The Role

We are seeking a caring, creative, and passionate individual to join our welcoming team. This role offers up to 16 hours per week during term time only, with potential for additional hours.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Swim England Level 1 & 2

qualification or

STA equivalent

. Training can be provided for the right individual. Enhanced DBS check (we'll cover the cost if you don't already have one). Safeguarding certification (we'll cover the cost if needed). Lifeguarding or safety award. Availability to work within the following hours: evenings until 8pm and weekends.

Desirable (but not essential):

Baby and pre-school teaching qualification. If this interests you, training can be arranged.

Responsibilities

Instruct and coach individuals in swimming techniques and safety practices. Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to various skill levels. Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback. Ensure a safe swimming environment by adhering to safeguarding protocols. Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the swimming facility and equipment.

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour
