Swimming Instructor

As a swimming teacher, you can make a real difference in the lives of children who might otherwise leave primary school unable to swim.

What's the job?
Using state-of-the-art portable pools you will be the designated swimming teacher for primary schools in our areas of operation.
You will play a vital role in teaching children a life-saving skill and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle and following the Primary PE National Curriculum, you will teach engaging and inspiring swimming lessons, help children to develop their swimming abilities and confidence, and provide essential water safety education.
With an estimated 1 million children in England leaving primary school each year without being able to swim 25 meters, your role will be critical in working with key stakeholders in addressing this issue and making a real difference in the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver swimming lessons using a variety of techniques that engage and motivate children.
Help children to develop their swimming abilities and reach their full potential by identifying their strengths and areas for improvement.
Teach water safety skills to children in a fun and interactive way, ensuring that they understand the importance of staying safe in and around water.
Use high-quality equipment and follow safety standards to ensure that children have a safe and enjoyable swimming experience.
Create a positive and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable and confident to learn and grow.
Provide regular feedback and evaluations to children and school teachers to track progress and celebrate achievements.
Keep up to date with the latest teaching techniques and take part in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
Champion inclusivity and work to overcome any barriers to participation, ensuring that all children have access to swimming lessons.
Act as a positive role model and ambassador for Active Me 360 CIC, promoting our values and mission.
What does success in the role look like?
Key performance indicators will determine success in the role, including children working towards National Curriculum Outcomes for KS2 at primary school and customer (school) feedback with a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 75+.
