Mudiad Meithrin is a national voluntary association of Welsh-medium nurseries and parent-and-toddler groups, providing early years education and care for children in Wales. Established in 1971, the organization has grown significantly, now supporting around 22,000 children each week through approximately 550 nurseries and 500 parent-and-toddler groups.

Summary

We are seeking a Swyddog Cymraeg i Blant for Sir Conwy to join Mudiad Meithrin. This role is pivotal in promoting Welsh language and culture among young children, ensuring they receive high-quality early years education in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Promote the use of the Welsh language within early years settings. Support staff and parents in developing Welsh language skills for children. Organize activities that encourage engagement with Welsh culture and language. Provide guidance on best practices in early years education in a Welsh-medium context. Collaborate with local authorities to enhance support for Welsh-medium education.

Requirements

Fluency in Welsh is essential. Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with parents and staff. Knowledge of early years education principles and practices is desirable.
