The Role

We are seeking an experienced

System Accountant

to join a small but high-performing Group Consolidations and Reporting team. This is a newly created position to support increasing workload in the group consolidations area.

The role combines business-as-usual month- and year-end activities with ad hoc reporting and systems projects, providing the opportunity to both support and take ownership of key deliverables. It offers broad exposure to group-level financial processes within a complex international organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Group Consolidations (Cognos Controller)

Perform monthly group consolidations in Cognos Controller Manage opening/closing of ledgers and roll forward balances Load FX rates and maintain the month-end timetable Post group-level journals (eliminations, offsetting, amortisation of intangibles) Review submissions, monitor data quality, and provide feedback to regional teams Generate/distribute month-end reports Provide Level 2 user support, manage tickets, and liaise with external IT support Manage user access and onboarding/offboarding
ERP Systems (Infor Sun Systems or similar)

Ensure prior periods are locked and manage authorised re-openings Extract and reconcile data from multiple base ledgers
Excel Automation & Reporting

Develop and maintain VBA macros to automate recurring reporting tasks Design and populate templates for recurring and ad hoc reports Summarise and transform data for internal and external reporting

We are looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and collaborative skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and regions.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience using Cognos Controller in a complex group environment Strong knowledge of month-end close, consolidation, and intercompany processes Experience with ERP systems such as Infor Sun Systems or Microsoft Dynamics Advanced Excel skills, including VBA macro development Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability Strong communication and coordination skills
