Type: Full Time (flexible hours considered)



Hybrid Working: 2-3 days onsite



Salary range: 36,796 to 40,855



Hours: 37.5 hours per week



Location: Cheadle Hulme, SK8 6RQ

Here at Seashell, we provide care and education for children and young people with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairments and communication disorders, and autism. Originally founded in 1823, we are a nationally recognised and registered charity based in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport.

The Seashell Trust consists of the Outstanding Royal School Manchester, Outstanding Royal College Manchester, 17 residential homes, outreach, health and family services. Our services are all based on one site which really reinforces our fantastic sense of community.

We're looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to manage and optimise our IT infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, and Teams. Manage virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). Monitor performance, backups, patching, and security updates. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues. Act as IT Online Safety Lead, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and GDPR.

Essential Skills & Experience:



Degree in a technical subject or equivalent experience. 3-5 years in a 3rd line support role. Strong experience with Windows Server, AD administration, and Microsoft 365. Knowledge of networking, firewalls, storage, and cloud technologies. Understanding of Disaster Recovery and High Availability. Familiarity with information security frameworks and GDPR compliance.

Desirable:



ITIL knowledge or certification. Windows MCSA certification. Experience in education or care environments.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team. Adaptable and committed to continuous learning.
