Systems Engineer - Part-time 20-30 hours per week (flexible hours dependent on applicant)

Based in Glasgow (hybrid working, site presence and travel requirements are project-dependant)

Our Opportunity:

We have a great opportunity in Thales Optronics and Missile Electronic (OME), a part of Thales Land and Air Systems for a Systems Engineer on a 20-30 hour weekly working contract to join the team.

About You

You will have demonstrable expertise interfacing with internal and external customers, understanding system requirements, working with other design engineers to specify and accept sub system designs as well as creating verification and validation programs in the defence domain. Your experience will have some of the following:
  • Use of Requirement Management tools (e.g. DOORS - preferred)
  • Expertise in System design and development of complex hardware and software systems
  • Skilled in working with subcontracted design elements in creating an overall coherent system
  • Expertise of creating verification and validation programs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple product development and specialist domain teams.
The successful candidate will need to be able to obtain full Security Clearance (SC) -For more information and guidance please visit the UKSV website*

In line with Thales\' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
