Systems Integrator / PC Technician

to join our Trafford Park site.

Job Summary:



As a Systems Integrator / PC Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, configuring, and testing custom PCs and laptops, as well as diagnosing and repairing systems as needed. This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine passion for technology and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:



PC Building & Assembly:


Assemble custom desktop PCs from individual components, ensuring proper cable management, airflow, and system stability.

Laptop & PC Testing:


Perform thorough testing of laptops and PCs, including stress testing, diagnostics, and performance benchmarking.

System Configuration:


Install operating systems, drivers, and essential software packages. Configure BIOS/UEFI settings and ensure system optimization.

Troubleshooting & Repair:


Identify and resolve hardware and software issues in both PCs and laptops, replacing faulty components and performing upgrades as necessary.

Quality Control (QC):


Conduct comprehensive quality control checks to verify system performance, reliability, and readiness before dispatch.

Technical Support:


Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, provide technical input, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Order Fulfilment:


Assist with packaging and dispatching customer orders as required.

Continual Learning:


Stay informed about the latest developments in PC hardware, gaming systems, and integration techniques.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent; a certification in IT, Computer Hardware, or similar field is a plus. Hands-on experience in building and troubleshooting desktop PCs and laptops. Familiarity with operating systems including Windows (required), MacOS and Linux (a plus). Knowledge of hardware components such as CPUs, GPUs, RAM, SSDs, cooling systems, and motherboards. Understanding of BIOS/UEFI settings, drivers, and hardware compatibility. Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to team members or non-technical colleagues. Ability to work independently and within a small team.

Physical Requirements:



Able to lift and carry PC towers and related components. Capable of working seated or standing for long periods. Manual dexterity required for handling small parts and cables.
