About the Role:
We're looking for a motivated and reliable
Takeaway Assistant
to join our busy team. You'll be part of the front-of-house takeaway operation -- preparing orders, serving customers, making coffees, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring our high standards are met at all times.During weekdays, you will often be required to
work independently
, managing the takeaway counter on your own. This includes serving customers, handling payments, and ensuring smooth service throughout your shift.Key Responsibilities:
Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner Take orders accurately and operate the till system
Prepare hot and cold food and drinks, including barista-style coffee
Keep all areas clean, tidy, and fully stocked throughout the shift Work independently and take responsibility for the smooth running of the takeaway area during quieter weekday shifts Follow all food hygiene and safety proceduresWhat We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a cafe or takeaway environment preferred but not essential Confidence to work on your own and use initiative A positive attitude and strong work ethic Great communication and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently during busy periods Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends
