Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Takeaway Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting our logistics operations with a focus on safety, communication, and organisation. MOPEDS, E-BIKES, BICYCLES ALL OK.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Deliver goods to clients and customers across designated routes within the scheduled timeframes. Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures upon completion of each delivery. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met. Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management for immediate action.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous. Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Valid driver's licence suitable for commercial driving; a clean driving record is essential. Experience with driving different types of vehicles, including vans or lorries, is desirable. This role requires organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
