Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics services. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to clients and customers. Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines. Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Verify delivery orders against items loaded and delivered, maintaining accurate records. Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays. Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met. Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies during all driving activities.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving environments. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling goods. Strong organisational skills for route planning and time management. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations relevant to commercial driving.
