Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our Human Resources team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This role will play a key part in delivering high-quality recruitment support across our Legal practice groups, partnering closely with hiring managers to attract and secure top legal talent.



Main purpose of the role:



You will deliver a progressive, inclusive and end-to-end talent acquisition service that meets the needs of the firm.


You'll lead our direct sourcing strategy to reduce costs and time-to-hire, proactively engaging passive talent and leveraging specialist agencies where needed. You'll build strong networks and market insight across our core growth areas.


Partnering with Practice Group Leaders, Team Leaders, and hiring managers, you'll provide expert guidance throughout the hiring process for legal roles. You'll also help shape our employer brand and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.



Main Duties and Responsibilities:



Design and deliver innovative recruitment strategies, mainly for legal roles across all levels. Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, understanding their teams and future talent needs. Source top talent directly using LinkedIn and other tools, reducing reliance on agencies. Use data to track recruitment metrics and improve processes and outcomes. Support quarterly reporting and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Champion tech-led recruitment, including AI and automation. Manage agency relationships to ensure value and alignment with direct sourcing. Advise hiring managers on inclusive, effective interview and selection practices. Create and share engaging LinkedIn content to build our employer brand Attend industry events to network, gather market intelligence, and strengthen our talent pipeline. Ensure a smooth, timely, and inclusive candidate experience. Lead and support TA projects, including systems, branding, and process reviews

Key Skills and Experience:



You will:


Have in-house recruitment experience, ideally in professional services, and be confident working with senior stakeholders. Be a credible business partner, owning recruitment for your areas. Understand the professional services market and apply advanced attraction strategies. Have a strong track record of direct sourcing for permanent and temporary roles. Be data-driven, using metrics to measure success and improve outcomes. Influence and educate hiring managers on best practices and inclusive hiring. Communicate professionally and responsively at all levels. Be resilient, collaborative, and flexible in a fast-paced environment. Be confident using recruitment tech, ATS platforms, and social media tools.
