About the role:
An integral part of the newly re-structured Talent Acquisition (TA) team, the Talent Acquisition Manager will report to the Senior Manager and will be involved in all experienced hire operational recruitment activity across LifeArc. This includes roles across science, enabling science and enabling functions.
You will engage with key stakeholders to include the HR Business Partners, TA Co-ordinator, Senior Manager (Operations), Reward Manager, Finance Business Partner, and Hiring Managers acting as a business partner.
Your responsibilities will include developing talent acquisition strategies (LinkedIn, social media, career events, 3rd party providers where needed), managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from CV review using LifeArcs ATS system, through to pre-screening, managing the interview and selection process, and offer management, ensuring that our talent needs are being met whilst prioritising a positive and inclusive candidate experience
An expert in LinkedIn recruiter, you will proactively build talent pools and seek to fill roles via direct methods. You will be highly proficient in managing multiple, cross functional requirements and roles, and deliver to these effectively and efficiently.
You will embed further LifeArc's ED&I strategy and work to attract and assess a diverse and inclusive pool of candidates and will be involved in several ad hoc projects to support the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition.
About you:
You will be responsible for:
Developing and executing talent acquisition strategies to meet LifeArc's talent needs.
Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
Collaborating with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and provide guidance on job descriptions and candidate profiles.
Be seen as a Subject Matter Expert for all recruitment related activities, including the hiring of contractors and associated IR35 implications.
Utilizing various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events, to attract top talent.
Building and maintaining a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
Conducting regular follow-ups with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
Refining recruitment strategies, techniques, and tools based on data-driven insights, candidate feedback, hiring managers' feedback and changing industry trends.
Ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
Working closely with the HR and TA co-ordinator to track, monitor and report on key metrics and recruitment data for monthly and quarterly reporting.
Education & experience required:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, HR, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
Extensive Life Sciences/biotech/pharma recruitment experience.
Skills & abilities:
Expert skills using LinkedIn Recruiter to source candidates, and to build pipelines.
Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Manager or similar role, preferably with both in-house and agency experience.
Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Multitasking, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Effectively work with key metrics and KPIs in TA.
Detail and data orientated, with proven reporting skills.
Excellent proficiency with MS Office, in particular Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint.
Interest in how AI can impact the recruitment process and where efficiencies can be gained.
Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Work with ambiguity and changing priorities.
Passion for working in a mission driven, highly ambitious, self-funded charity.
