Job Description

Reporting to the SCS JV Head of Resourcing, the Talent (Acquistion) Partner is responsible for supporting the delivery of a proactive resourcing service within their defined SCS portfolio irrespective of employer, while also providing the link back into their own JV parent company. The split of SCS portfolios will change over time as the size and shape of the project changes.


Working proactively with senior leaders and hiring managers to ensure all staff roles within their portfolio are forecast and resourced through either redeployment or recruitment in the most effective way following a fair, consistent, and timely process.


They will also champion our existing SCS staff ensuring opportunities for redeployment are maximised in the best interest of both our people and the project.



Resourcing Oversight and Workforce Planning



Proactively engage with senior leaders and hiring managers to understand needs, influence resourcing-related decisions, and maintain communication on progress. Proactively support SCS workforce planning and recruitment controls championing associated processes across the project with a cost-conscious mind set. Support the continuous improvement of the resourcing service, proactively researching and identifying best practice initiatives and delivering as appropriate against defined requirements. Support the resourcing team, demonstrating flexibility as needed to manage demand and other suitable work across the wider people team. Provide an excellent candidate experience irrespective of which process they are in, keeping all candidates informed of the process, dispositioning unsuccessful candidates in a timely manner with appropriate feedback. Ensure recruitment and redeployment process effectiveness is monitored regularly, checking the accuracy of reports and trackers.

Vacancy Management



Manage the process for launching vacancies, from request through to advert, ensuring hiring managers and senior leaders are kept up to date. Work with hiring managers to shape the resource brief. Agree sourcing strategy and timelines, escalating when appropriate. Ensure each vacancy is reviewed against the SCS Priority pool before it is opened up for recruitment. Follow the correct process and procedures to fill vacancies from both internal and external applicants, driving fair, consistent, and timely selection decisions. Ensure consideration of both SCS and Parent Company talent/succession planning information within any resourcing process, liaising with PC HR Business Partners. Close campaigns compliantly, update relevant data points and monitor SLAs/KPI's. Drive the EDI agenda across all aspects of the resourcing process, maximising any opportunities to challenge and remove bias or questionable selection decisions. Ensure all parent company stakeholders are kept informed to allow each vacancy to be managed through to close in the most efficient way. Ensure offer and onboarding process hand offs work seamlessly, working with all Parent Company HR teams, staff headcount and inductions team (irrespective of Parent Company employer). Own the link back into recruitment/HR for your own Parent Company, ensuring that Parent Company process requirements are understood and supported within the SCS team and that SCS process requirements are understood and supported within the Parent Company team. Help to influence Parent Company HR teams to establish the most effective and efficient hiring methods which support the SCS hiring process.

Redeployment



Work collaboratively with your Parent Company HR team, Parent Company line managers and SCS Line Managers to ensure end dates are effectively communicated for your Parent Company workers. Proactively manage the redeployment of priority pool workers within your own parent company, ensure that all SCS procedures have been followed. Deliver against any of your own Parent Company process requirements in relation to redeployment. Take ownership of a smooth redeployment experience for all workers in the SCS priority pool, being first point of contact for those from your own Parent Company. Ensure a fair and unbiased process for all SCS staff irrespective of Parent Company employer, championing both candidate and hiring manager experience.

Knowledge and Self-development



Keep up to date with resourcing related employment law and legislation changes. Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implemented on the project. Operate with compliance to the General Data Protection Regulations with respect to the storage of, access to and destruction of applicants' personal data. Undertake any reasonable duties expected of you - this includes performing the recruiter role for a proportion of your responsibilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience



Experience in a similar level role in resourcing, within an in-house environment, preferably within the infrastructure sector. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changeable environment. Proven stakeholder management skills and ability to build strong working relationships. Clear and concise communication skills, and able to influence across all levels. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Strong track record in direct recruitment methods. Data rational and able to interpret data to demonstrate value add. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of Applicant Tracking Systems.
