Job Description
CMA Recruitment Group is currently working with a UK retailer to support on the appointment of a Tax Accountant, on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The role of the Tax Accountant will play a crucial part in the delivery of timely and accurate reporting of Corporation Tax and VAT compliance for a number of commercial entities.
Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant will include:
- Preparation of UK, Ireland and offshore Corporation Tax computations;
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts and other corporate tax compliance;
- Preparation of the current and deferred tax notes for inclusion in the statutory accounts;
- Maintaining balance sheet controls and compliance with internal controls for tax;
- Identifying potential opportunities for improvements to the tax compliance and reporting processes;
- Some preparation of VAT returns.
- Ideally fully qualified - ACA/ACCA/CTA;
- Tax/accounting experience in industry or practice;
- Detailed tax knowledge, with expertise in Corporation Tax and/or VAT;
- Experience using SAP accounting software would be advantageous.
