Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant (VAT) to join a leading in house team working for a established plc. The role is based in the Birmingham region and requires expertise in VAT compliance and advisory work.
- Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide advice on VAT matters, including planning and risk management.
- Assist with VAT audits and liaise with tax authorities as required.
- Monitor changes in VAT legislation and update processes accordingly.
- Support the team in managing international VAT compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate VAT reporting.
- Identify opportunities for VAT efficiencies and cost savings.
- Maintain accurate VAT records and documentation for the organisation.
A successful Tax Accountant (VAT) should have:
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance processes.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tax software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A professional qualification in accounting or tax is preferred.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
