Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial accounting and planning. This role involves preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing insightful accounting advice to clients.

The Tax Accountant will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their tax obligations while optimising their financial strategies.

Duties



Prepare and file individual and corporate tax returns accurately and on time. Conduct thorough analyses of clients' financial situations to identify tax-saving opportunities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Assist clients with accounts payable processes and provide guidance on financial planning strategies. Utilise accounting software such as Xero and Iris for efficient record-keeping and reporting. Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation. Provide support during audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to inquiries. Offer advice on various financial matters, including investments, estate planning, and retirement strategies.

Requirements



Proven experience working in practice. Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and Iris is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple client accounts effectively. Ability to communicate complex information clearly to clients from diverse backgrounds. CTA or AAT qualification is essential.

Pay: 18.00-25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
