As an Tax Apprentice at Kyzen Sports Accountancy Firm, you will play a vital role in maintaining smooth interactions with both clients and government authorities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to gain entry into the accounting field while also performing crucial operational/administrative tasks. Successful candidates will be given an opportunity to learn from and support Tax Seniors, whilst being committed to studying and acquiring knowledge of tax regulations, laws, and accounting practices. Tax Apprentice will be responsible for:
-Client and HMRC Interaction: Serve as a liaison between clients and HMRC, ensuring timely and accurate communication and document submission.
-Business Operations: Assist in various business operations tasks, including data entry, record keeping, and maintaining office supplies.
-Client Support: Respond to client inquiries, provide information about our services, and assist with general inquiries.
-Document Management: Organize and maintain client documents, records, and tax-related files.
-Accounts Support: Assist in client meetings, conduct background calculations regarding current & future year tax planning, assist in accounts/self-assessment preparation
-Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties such as data entry, preparing documents, and assisting with office tasks as needed.
-Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, HMRC and internal team members.
Skills / experience / attitude
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, professional demeanour
-Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
-Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
-Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
-Ambitious
-Comfortable handling phone calls and inquiries
-Interest in pursuing a career in accounting.
-GCSE's Mathematics and English Language at Grade 4 (C) or above.
Preferred skills / experience / attitude.
-Familiarity with sports industry terminology.
-Basic knowledge of accounting principles
-Experience with HMRC interactions or tax-related tasks.
