As a Barclays Tax Operations Analyst, you will undertake a range of complex and demanding technical processes often working to stringent regulatory deadlines. You will be overseeing controls and adhere to the appropriate regulations of the specific tax jurisdiction. Working alongside the wider business operations and key stakeholders (Barclays Corporate, Barclays Wealth, Barclays Private Bank, Barclays Smart Investor) both in the UK and internationally to deliver on client experience and meet regulatory requirements.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\xe2\x80\x99re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. What will you be doing?

  • Undertaking all the relevant duties the Reporting team is in charge of an updating your knowledge about them
  • Interacting professionally with internal stakeholders
  • Documenting key core data in report format for the regulators and highlight any concerns
  • Acting as a principal point of contact for information about Barclays\xe2\x80\x99 Qualified Intermediary requirements
  • Using time management effectively to deliver against tight deadlines/SLA\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Committing to proactively seeking new and innovative customer focused solutions
What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:
  • Proven experience in undertaking stakeholder engagement
  • Adaptability to process/regulatory changes, priority pools of work often resulting in tight deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Proven ability to resolve issues in a timely manner and identifying areas for requiring escalation
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the implications that the IRS Qualified Intermediary & HMRC ISA regulations have on Barclays and our clients
  • Broad knowledge of the roles and business activities carried out by other teams within Wealth
  • Training and mentoring experience developing self and others
  • Prior proven experience with using the Wealth & Corporate computer systems (such as Avaloq, FNZ One & BCBS) would also be valuable
