```Job Summary:```
IMMEDIATE START
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Taxi Controller to join our team.
In this role you will be responsible for taking and dispatching journeys, answering incoming calls, providing information to callers, and transferring calls to the appropriate department or individual. You will be speaking to drivers and dealing with any issues that they may have.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to handle a high volume of calls in a professional and efficient manner. Overtime to cover sickness and holiday will be availiable.
```Duties:```
- Answer incoming calls and provide assistance to callers
- Transfer calls to the appropriate department or individual
- Take messages and relay them to the appropriate person
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
- Handle customer complaints or issues with empathy and professionalism
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and filing as needed
```Qualifications:```
- Previous experience in a taxi office service or call center role is preferred but full training will be given
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
- Proficient in using phone systems, including transferring calls and taking messages
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls while maintaining professionalism
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling customer information
- Knowledge of Plymouth is an advantage but not essential
