Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and professional home to school Taxi Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to passengers. As a licensed Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients to their destinations while maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle. This role requires a valid driving licence and the ability to navigate efficiently through urban areas.

Taxi licence and DBS required - these can be arranged

Duties

Drive SEND children passengers to their specified locations in a safe and timely manner. Maintain a clean and well-organised vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with passengers, providing assistance as needed during their journey. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist passengers with heavy lifting of luggage or other items as required. Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage and passenger details. Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure safety and reliability. Handle payments and provide receipts as necessary.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a taxi driver or in commercial driving is preferred but not essential. As taxi licence can be added Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with passengers. Familiarity with local roads and navigation systems is advantageous. Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations while ensuring passenger safety. Experience as a delivery driver or van driver is beneficial. Must be able to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers with their belongings.
