We are seeking a graceful, attentive, and tea-loving
Tea Assistant / Tea Barista
to join our
Traditional Tea & Tasting Section
at Lotus Realm, our modern Chinese teahouse on Oxford Street, London.
This role is perfect for someone who values calmness, detail, and the art of hospitality. You'll work closely with our Tea Master to prepare and serve traditional and modern tea drinks, share tea stories with guests, and embody the beauty of Chinese tea culture in a contemporary setting.
Duties
Assist the Tea Master in brewing, preparing, and serving teas for guests.
Introduce teas and tea-tasting experiences in a warm and professional manner.
Maintain teaware cleanliness and organize the tea bar daily.
Support retail sales of teas and teaware.
Welcome guests, provide seating guidance, and ensure a serene and elegant experience.
Participate in photography, video content, and cultural event support (if interested).
Collaborate with the creative team for seasonal tea pairings or tea cocktail ideas.
Qualifications
Fluent in
Mandarin Chinese and English
(Cantonese a plus).
Presentable, polite, and comfortable with front-of-house guest service.
Passionate about tea -- ideally with some understanding of Chinese tea basics (types, brewing, aroma, and tasting).
Willing to learn and uphold cultural presentation standards.
Attention to detail, teamwork spirit, and calm under pressure.
Photography or video skills are a strong plus.
Right to work in the UK.

9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (includes prep and cleaning time before/after service)
